Just like you, I am deeply disappointed in the outcome of this election.

There's just no way around it, we lost.... but the fight will NEVER be over!

Conservatives should NEVER be discouraged or throw in the towel.  Now is not the time to wonder whether or not we CAN turn things around.  

HELL yes we CAN, and of course we will.

Recently, I read A.J. Langguth's book Patriots: TheMen Who Started the American Revolution.  It tells the story of Samuel Adams and the difficult early years of the Patriot movement as they organized a grassroots movement for liberty against daunting odds:  the seemingly invincible British Empire and many Tories loyal to the Crown in the colonies. 

In the aftermath of numerous defeats, James Warren who was one of Adams' trusted allies began to lose heart after one particularly tough canvassing effort across the Massachusetts countryside.  He wrote to Adams saying of the Patriot movement, "They are dead and the dead cannot be raised without a miracle."

Adams simply responded: "Nil desperandum, -- Never Despair.  That should be a motto for you, me and ALL Liberty loving people!  All are not dead; and where there is a spark of patriotic fire, we will rekindle it." 

Needless to say, the cause of freedom has been dealt a significant setback on Nov 6th.  
But we never say die.
We never say all is lost.
We say 'Nil desperandum'

We're Americans and children of God.
And I believe god wants us to FIGHT for our freedoms, and NEVER take them for granted.

Exercise the right that YOU are the supreme power of this land.

Not the political elites, nor the courts.

Or reverse the course we’ve been going in the last 4 years (and then some) and head back towards a nation that the founders intended.

It’s not important so much for me and my wife, as it is to make sure our future is free for our posterity.

Presidential Debate- P2

Last night Presidential debate was what it was billed to be.
Romney being Romney, but Obama will do better then his last debate.
And, admittingly, Obama did do better.... in his attacks.
On substance from the President, nothing new there.
Romney slammed the President on the economy, energy policy, tax policy, and so on.

What this post will be about is the part of the debate where Candy Crowley asserted herself in to this debate, with regards to the Benghazi topic of the debate.

First, some of Obama remarks of the attack:

So as soon as we found out that the Benghazi consulate was being overrun, I was on the phone with my national security team, and I gave them three instructions. Number one, beef up our security and — and — and procedures not just in Libya but every embassy and consulate in the region. Number two, investigate exactly what happened, regardless of where the facts lead us, to make sure that folks are held accountable and it doesn’t happen again....

The President pretty much admitted that security was not sufficient, and two, "investigate exactly what happen, regardless of where the facts lead us." ???
Is the President saying investigate, but disregard facts, and hold them accountable? Seems so.

Romney then stepped up, to address this issue.

The president the day after that happened flies to Las Vegas for a political fundraiser, then the next day to Colorado for another event, another political event, I think these — these actions taken by a president and a leader have symbolic significance 

Obama's rebuttal:

The suggestion that anybody in my team, whether the secretary of state, our U.N. ambassador, anybody on my team would play politics or mislead when we’ve lost four of our own, Governor, is offensive. That’s not what we do. That’s not what I do as president. 

Problem with this statement by the President is twofold. First Romney never said "Secretary of State", nor "UN ambassador" played politics. He said the President did. "That's not what I do as President" Well Mr. President... THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID!

Romney's turn, and here is where is gets interesting.

Romney: I think it’s interesting the president just said something which is that on the day after the attack, he went in the Rose Garden and said that this was an act of terror. You said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack it was an act of terror. It was not a spontaneous demonstration? 

Obama: Please proceed.
Romney:  I want to make sure we get that for the record, because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror.
Obama: Get the transcript.

 OK, I did:

As Americans let us never, ever forget that our freedom is only sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it, to stand up for it, and in some cases lay down their lives for it.  Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those, both civilian and military, who represent us around the globe.  
No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.

Now mind you Romney was right, the President didn't call THIS attack an act of terror.

Ms Crowley asserted in to this discussion by saying:

He did call it an act of terror.

But later the moderator corrected herself on CNN... Well sort of:

I knew we’d probably get a Libya question so I kind of wanted to be up on it. So I knew that the president had, had, said, you know, these acts of terror won’t stand or, whatever the whole quote was.

These acts of terror vs No acts of terror..... 'Or whatever the whole quote was'.

The problem was she asserted herself in to this back and forth without "being up on it" and having the facts.

VP Debate- VP Joe Chuckles

Last night, in the Vice-presidential debate, as it went, it was just an OK debate.
Both Biden, AKA  VP Joe Chuckles, and Paul Ryan made their points well.
Biden, with his vast foreign policy experience did pretty well on the subject, outside of the Libya fiasco.

Ryan hammered Biden with facts on the state of the economy, deficit, spending, and so on.

On that end of it, it was a dead heat… but that’s where it comes to an end.

Mr Chuckles, however, took it a few steps further, to the point of being an adolescent.

His laughs, smirks, frowning, figure pointing and “malarkey” comment showed one thing…
It was beneath the office of the Vice President to act in such a manner.
It, in my opinion, showed me he was not taking the seriousness of todays world.

Libya, Syria, Iran, 8%+ unemployment, $6T deficits, hijacking of private enterprise in Obamacare, dead ambassador, etc, etc, seemed to be a joke for him, and that Ryan new nothing of the facts (for which he did, extensively)

But by the end of the debate, one had to wonder what the people thought, for they are the ones who make the decision here….

And based on the CNN poll taken last night, Mr Chuckles didn’t help his re-election cause… See below…

One last thing I noticed towards the end, Joe Biden was getting in to a debate.... with the moderator....

I am still scratching my head, on that maybe he forgot who he was supposed to debate!

Obama Supporter- Then And Now

What if you had, back in 2008, been an Obama supporter, with all the Hope and Change hysteria going down, and you cast your vote for the clown-n-chief and then by 2012 you came to realize just what that mistake entailed.

What if you had the opportunity to talk to yourself from the future to come to the realization that what you had done was a huge blunder?

Wouldn't THAT be a dream come true, if we could do that?

Here is an example of what might take place in just a scenario.

Romney or Obama- Jobs

The Dems are once again ramping up their attacks on Romney's time at Bain Capital.

Their approach is to show that during Romney's time as the CEO, he shipped jobs overseas.

Especially during his last few years as 'technically' the head of the Capital investment group.

A Washington Post news article, published June 21, that reported that six companies that Bain invested in during Romney’s tenure at the firm were "pioneers" in the emerging trend of outsourcing U.S. jobs to foreign countries like India and China.

But Bain's current and former CEO have emphatically said their reliance of foreign call centers and packaging plants was solely to support existing foreign sales of U.S. exports.


FactCheck.org weighed in on the Obama's ads, declaring "we found no evidence to support the claim that Romney, while he was still running Bain Capital, shipped American jobs overseas."


Obama campaign press secretary Ben LaBolt said "Some of these jobs were shipped overseas after 1999. A refute sent to FactCheck.org by Obama’s deputy campaign manager, Stephanie Cutter, cited dozens of forms from 2001 and 2002 that listed Romney as the sole owner of Bain.

Bain Capital insisted that Romney never returned to the firm or did any substantive work for it, or for its "portfolio companies," after February 1999. Some of the 2001 documents cited in Cutter’s letter it clearly showed Romney listing his occupation with Bain as "former executive".

So why is the Obama campaign so insistent on this issue that Bain, under Romney supposed watch, shipped some jobs overseas.

Could it be the fact that it's to deflect away from Obama's record as president, when he still, to this day, has a net one million jobs loss under his presidency?

AND to one important fact that, under Obama private life career as a community organizer and visiting law and Government fellow at the University of Chicago Law School, (to which his time spent there was to write his book...), that he never employed ONE PERSON?

Obama should be concerned about his OWN jobs record!

Citizens United v. Fed Election Commission

The landmark decision by the United States Supreme court that the McCain-Feingold act violated free speech was un-presidented ruling that infuriate liberals to no end.

It allows Corporations, millionaires and Unions to donate money, sometimes millions of it to help elect their Candidate.

In his 2010 State of the Union address, Obama said of the decision:

"Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests, including foreign corporations, to spend without limit in our elections. Well I don't think American elections should be bankrolled by America's most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities."

Now we do know that foreign corporations cannot spend without limits. That was upheld.

But now comes a twist to the Presidents remarks on special interest, and I am sure Obama is not saying the same thing today.

A report out by the Associated Press yesterday said Multimillionaire George Soros' contributed $1 million to the advocacy group America Votes and another $1 million pledge to American Bridge 21st Century, an outside "super" political committee supportive of Obama's campaign. 

"As he has in the past, George is focusing his political giving in 2012 on grassroots organizing and holding conservatives accountable for the flawed policies they promote," Soros adviser Michael Vachon said

Flawed policies? Does Vachon mean Capitalism?

"Thanks to investments by progressive leaders like Mr. Soros, we have been able to build a cutting-edge organization that we will continue to build upon in order to keep providing effective and efficient services to the progressive movement," said David Brock, American Bridge's founder.

Oh the Hypocrisy of the left!

So far, GOP super PACs have outraised their Democratic counterparts by tens of millions of dollars.  

So if a liberal/progressive ever rants about McCain-Feingold act and the SCOTUS decision of it, you can slam them with this. They've got no complaints any longer.

We are in the midst of the most important election in our nation’s history.
We have endured the Obama Administration fundamental change long enough.
The GOP and the political right, need to get this right.
There is NO screwing this up, this time around.
Either we put the right candidate up against Obama, or IT'S over for this nation.

With a series of posts, my "hopes" are to be that the American people shall make the right choice and that we put up the most conservative, small government candidate we can get against the Obama campaign machine.

First up, is the Ron Paul and why he needs to be brought down early.

The Paulbots are the most bizarrest people you'd ever want to try and have a reasonable discussion with.
They are the most arrogant, mean and bullheaded electrite this nation has seen.
They think, as Paul does, they are the Knights Templar of the Constitution.
The one aspect of Pauls platform, his foreign policy, is so flawed and out of perspective that anyone outside the Paul-encampment soundly rejects it, IMO.

Here, Gingrich, schools Paul on the dangers of a terrorist, who could attain a nuke and set one off in an American city. Paul attitude is we brought it on ourselves.


Ron Paul lack of understanding this danger, to protect this nation by preempting an attack, is like saying we'll deal with it after the mushroom cloud dissipates.

What seems to be forgotten is any GOP left standing will be going up against the Chicago thugs who know how to campaign.
There is no one out there in the current GOP pack that can take on these Chicago pukes, except an established Reaganite Republican. That man IS NEWT!

Ron Paul Supporters- Hardcore Dedication-ist

Ron Paul supporter are truly individuals who share common intent of voting for no GOP candidate other than Ron Paul.  OK that is understandable... in the primaries.


However, they say, if Ron Paul is not to be the Republican nominee, their sincere hope is that Congressman Paul would then run as a 3rd Party candidate, even if it meant splitting some of the Republican vote.
Such a scenario would greatly enhance Barack Obama’s chances of being re-elected in 2012, as history as proven from the Bush Sr/Bill Clinton/Ross Perot presidential election, but they hold firm to their apparent conviction that Ron Paul, and Ron Paul alone, represents the best interests of American conservatism. 


While I admire their dedication of his political convictions, the attitude leaves me with questions of the true intent of someone professing to be a conservative but at the same time expressing willingness to allow perhaps the most leftist Big Government liberal to ever occupy the White House another four years.


Ron Paul himself gave a recent and quite clear indication he would not consider running as a 3rd party candidate.  Congressman Paul awareness that to do so would quite possibly result in Barack Obama being a two-term president. A scenario it seems Mr. Paul is unwilling to participate in. But so many of his own supporters have indicated their strong conviction to do just that- Run on a 3rd ticket. 
Many Paul supporters have expressed to me that if he is not the nominee and doesn't run on a 3 party candidacy, they will sit out the 2012 elections.


Are his supporters aware there is ongoing discussion within the Libertarian movement of whether or not Mr. Paul is seen as one of the big Government liberals when it comes to foreign policy,  support for gay marriage and drug legalization. As well as supporting state-approved abortions??


Granted, each of these issues are, through the prism of Ron Paul’s views, are state rights issues, and so still earns him a smaller federal government street credential, but the fact he supports such seemingly anti-conservative values should give at least some Ron Paul supporters pause.


Paul wishes to see homosexuals openly serving in the United States military. Paul supports the legalization of almost all forms of pornography and prostitution.  Ron Paul places no value in God and faith within the context of society’s morals, yet on his own website he then gives a strong declaration of personal faith in Jesus Christ and America’s “God-given rights”.


Would Ron Paul supporters rather see Barack Obama win a second term as President of the United States than say, Herman Cain, or Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney?
And if so, is it quite possible that some within the Ron Paul camp are in fact, Obama operatives pushing for that very scenario?

Finally, please note that I am a supporter of many of Ron Paul’s domestic policy ideas and am pleased to see him helping to focus the national conversation on the subjects of limited government and fiscal responsibility.  I would gladly vote for him for president over Barack Obama. I do not consider Congressman Paul to be the ideal candidate. Far from it!
But would it be to much to simply ask Ron Paul followers to do the same if he is not the nominee?
