PERRY ON BERNANKE: ‘I DUNNO WHAT Y’ALL WOULD DO TO HIM IN IOWA BUT WE WOULD TREAT HIM PRETTY UGLY DOWN IN TEXAS’1. Talking Points Memo suggest this. "Perry's ruminations about Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's "treasonous" behavior."
Texas Governor Rick Perry, who entered the presidential campaign on Saturday, appeared to suggest a violent response would be warranted should Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke “print more money” between now and the election. Printing more money to play politics at this particular time in American history is almost treasonous in my opinion.” Treason is a capital offense.
2. Washington Post suggest this. "He was referring to remarks he made Monday night in Iowa that Bernanke would be committing a “treasonous” act"
3. NYU economics professor Nouriel Roubini tweeted of Perry's comments: "Perry's Remarks on Bernanke are criminal. This Texan thug is making murder threats on the Fed Chairman."
4. "Rick Perry Threatens Ben Bernanke" from the Economic Policy Journal
5. Anyways, you get the point.
I mean, come on was it this over the top to the point of calling it (and mis-quoting it) Murder threats, appeared to suggest violent response , or to quote it as "committing a treasonous act"?
Or to say "BUT WE WOULD TREAT HIM PRETTY UGLY" as a violent threat
