Pledge to America-Preamble

How can anyone dismiss this frame of mind, regardless if you are a Republican, Democrat or Independent?

These are my favorite parts of the PreAmble:

  • America is an idea – an idea that free people can govern themselves, that government’s powers are derived from the consent of the governed, that each of us is endowed by their Creator with the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
  • Whenever the agenda of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to institute a new governing agenda and set a different course.
  • Like free peoples of the past, our citizens refuse to accommodate a government that believes it can replace the will of the people with its own. The American people are speaking out, demanding that we realign our country’s compass with its founding principles and apply those principles to solve our common problems for the common good.
  • With this document, we pledge to dedicate ourselves to the task of reconnecting our highest aspirations to the permanent truths of our founding by keeping faith with the values our nation was founded on, the principles we stand for, and the priorities of our people.
  • We pledge to honor the Constitution as constructed by its framers and honor the original intent of those precepts that have been consistently ignored – particularly the Tenth Amendment, which grants that all powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
  • We pledge to advance policies that promote greater liberty, wider opportunity, a robust defense, and national economic prosperity.
  • We pledge to honor families, traditional marriage, life, and the private and faith-based organizations that form the core of our American values.
  • We pledge to uphold the purpose and promise of a better America, knowing that to whom much is given, much is expected and that the blessings of our liberty buoy the hopes of mankind.
  • We make this pledge bearing true faith and allegiance to the people we represent, and we invite fellow citizens and patriots to join us in forming a new governing agenda for America.
'WE' want our Country back and we WILLL take it back!

Great post Mark!

It is an established fact that to every force there is an equal and opposite force but every now and again that fact is null and void being one force far outnumbers the other hence the Tea Party and all other Americans that are waking up.

We will indeed take our country back as failure to do so is not an option.

Thanks Christopher,
Yes, the Tea Party has been a great force to change our direction and to wake Americans the hell up. It amazes me to think that us Tea Party Patriots are called extreme by the left. Alls we want is the Government far less intrusive and stop spending us in to oblivion and follow the constitution set forth by the founders= Freedom! And anyone who calls those kinds of people extreme ARE true socialist.
Why didn't anyone pay attention when Obama said 'You know, spread the wealth around' Now a days, now that Americans have woken up, would have assured Obama wouldn't have made it in to the Whitehouse.

Yes, the Pledge. Being put down by the left, the clueless left that has no idea what to do, just tax and spend.

The left doesn't even campaign with their achievements...ie; the health care bill and the stimulus. They are so proud they can't seem to find the words to speak of this in their campaign.

All they can do is put the Plegde down, speak of Repubs want to take us back to Bush and NOT pass the Bush tax cuts.

Here is what the Pledge is, it's a good start to FIX the damage of the left. It's something to build confidence on. It's something to stop the insanity of the passed two years.

David, some Dems are even using Tea Party talking points in their campaign ads just to try and gather votes. Where were their upholding the constitution, personal liberties, free market talk during the vote on health care, stimuLESS, bailouts, votes.
I hope the American people who see these campaign ads don't fall for that BS from them.
