UN & Senate Preparing to Strip Your 2nd Rights

Time to get pissed, people!

This is another step the Democrat control Senate is taking to strip you of your 2nd Amendment rights, by teaming up with the United Nations to limit and prepare to confiscate your guns.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED!

From Larry Bell at Forbes.com
It may not come as surprising news to many of you that the United Nations doesn’t approve of our Second Amendment. Not one bit. And they very much hope to do something about it with help from some powerful American friends. Under the guise of a proposed global “Small Arms Treaty” premised to fight “terrorism”, “insurgency” and “international crime syndicates” you can be quite certain that an even more insidious threat is being targeted – our Constitutional right for law-abiding citizens to own and bear arms.
What, exactly, does the intended agreement entail?
While the terms have yet to be made public, if passed by the U.N. and ratified by our Senate, it will almost certainly force the U.S. to:
  1. Enact tougher licensing requirements, creating additional bureaucratic red tape for legal firearms ownership.
  2. Confiscate and destroy all “unauthorized” civilian firearms (exempting those owned by our government of course).
  3. Ban the trade, sale and private ownership of all semi-automatic weapons (any that have magazines even though they still operate in the same one trigger pull – one single “bang” manner as revolvers, a simple fact the ant-gun media never seem to grasp).
  4. Create an international gun registry, clearly setting the stage for full-scale gun confiscation.
  5. In short, overriding our national sovereignty, and in the process, providing license for the federal government to assert preemptive powers over state regulatory powers guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment in addition to our Second Amendment rights.

Have no doubt that this plan is very real, with strong Obama administration support. In January 2010 the U.S. joined 152 other countries in endorsing a U.N. Arms Treaty Resolution that will establish a 2012 conference to draft a blueprint for enactment. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has pledged to push for Senate ratification.
Former U.N. ambassador John Bolton has cautioned gun owners to take this initiative seriously, stating that the U.N. “is trying to act as though this is really just a treaty about international arms trade between nation states, but there is no doubt that the real agenda here is domestic firearms control.”....
If you are NOT a gun owner, I strongly recommend you become one, and FAST!
This is another step to what I see as a full and intentional degradation of the United States Constitution.
What's next? Our right to VOTE?
Take this seriously, people!

My letter to both my Senators:
I have just been reading about the UN Small Arms Treaty I am VERY concerned about this treaty.
It is, in my opinion extremely intrusive on our 2nd Amendment rights to keep and bear arms.
I am an individual who feels very strongly about our rights that are granted to the United States Citizens by the Constitution, and fully believe in the ideals and principles of our founding fathers.

My family heritage runs very deep in our nation.
John Adams
John Quincy Adams
Samuel Adams
Millard Fillmore
Calvin Coolidge
Howard Taft
Just to name a few.

Each and every one of them stood with the US Constitution in its full, simply logical wording.
The UN has NO business interfering in to our Constitution!
I understand the need to keep our streets safe from gun crimes, combat terrorism and those who wish us harm.
However enforcing a treaty of this nature on law abiding citizens by the UN , to not only protect our family, but our property, clearly violates the 2nd Amendment.
I firmly believe the TRUE intention of the 2nd Amendment, by our founders "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." was intended to grant these rights as to NOT only to protect ourselves, but be the last line of defense of the nation.

I URGE you to vote NO on the UN Small Arms Treaty!
Thanks You and God bless America!

The Second Amendment was put in place as more proof that We the People are in charge of the government, not the other way around. It gives us individual rights and that is why the lefties want to destroy and regulate it. I am in charge of protecting my family and my property. The government fails too much for most Americans to trust that in a time of need they will be there for us.

This Amendment is all about the individual rights, not the collective like liberals are pushing for. As long as Americans can defend themselves the collective socialists can't win. The left took away Americans rights to Life first with abortion. Now they are taking away our Liberty and our ability to Persuet Happiness by take our earned property for the "collective".

Why does the left think that their failed ideology will work this time around, since it has failed every time in history?

Yet Chris NO ONE seems to give a rats ass about this. I guess until to happens. Then it's too late.
If this is ratified, you're going to see a black market open up like you've never seen before. Courts are going to be bogged down with constitutional challenges. This is a very serious situation and Bolton of all people is sounding the alarm bells.

Wake the F*&K up people.
I contacted my Senators... Will YOU???

I am a lifetime member of the NRA, and I recommend every gun owner do the same. If you don't like them, then join GOA.

If you got the money (I don't), join them both!

But, will they be able to put a stop to the US Senate attempt to side with the UN? Probably not by themselves.
Very important issue here and what it means to our rights.
I would be curious to know the NRA's opinion on this, Silver.

Update to this. Yesterday I got a reply from Durbin office on my letter to the Senator. And it was obvious that a staffer wrote the letter because he was trying to school me on how treaties are ratified and so until then it wouldn't intrude on the Constitution. Also mentioned Bush 3 times.... Need I say more.
I will do a followup piece on Durbin's reply, soon.
