Another Hollywood Liberal Jumps In on the 2nd Amendment

As it goes, so does another Hollywood liberal junky who feels the need to exploit the Sandy Hook victims with an attack on even Jim Carrey’s 2^nd amendment rights.

Mr Pet Detective himself made a mockery of liberty loving  Americans with this video below.

OK Jimbo, lets see if you can match this statement from Capt. Timothy Burbank. (And my bet, you couldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.)

Mr. Carrey, first I would like to say I truly have enjoyed your movies throughout my life. Thus the reason me taking exception to a post of yours I read is somewhat uncomfortable. Nevertheless the truth must shine brightly.

I recently saw a tweet where you have taken a stand against Americans Second Amendment rights. You should seriously consider this one simple fact, if it wasn't for our Second Amendment there would be no Hollywood or way of life as we know it today.

No child's death is ever justified! But true leaders understand there are two sides to every disagreement. Which is the reason why I believe that if it wasn't for our Second Amendment rights we would be living in a much different society.

Start by considering our War of Independence from Britain. As a National Guardsman I can attest to the fact that our armed militia is what saved this nation from tyranny. A God inspired gift to our founding fathers and every American who has been blessed to live in this nation since its forging in the baths of its citizens blood.

Then consider our Civil War, though Lincoln's life was taken by an evil man wielding a weapon. I'm convinced he would be the first to say our Second Amendment is what saved God fearing Americans from the tyranny of slavery. Without our Second Amendment, abolition would never have been realized in America.

Since the beginning of time people have wielded weapons of one sort or another. Evil will be the first to employ a weapon aggressively. It's up to good men to stand firmly against evil men. If you take weapons away from good men then evil will run amuck.

Look at the world, megalomaniacs grasp for power everywhere with force except for in America. In America they have to use lies and manipulations to control the populace. They also use famous people to try and attain their agenda when their feeble attempts to mold the minds of the people fail.

Ask yourself why they use lies and manipulations in America? I submit for your consideration an attributed quote from a famous Japanese Admiral "because there is a gun behind every blade of grass". The credible threat of just force is what keeps evil at bay.

Utilizing a quote with a slight play on words from one comparably intelligent Hollywood character, by Hollywood standards, "Evil is as evil does". Truth is pure and poignant, cutting to the bone. Evil wants to destroy and enslave freedom and truth around every corner. It has to maintain control, light frightens darkness because where light exists darkness cannot. Darkness is inversely proportional to light, the more light the less darkness...

As individuals we either choose to stand against evil (darkness) or blindly support and submit to it. Most do this in the hope to maintain their personal freedom and comforts. When one light chooses to hide their brilliance in the midst of darkness they only add to the darkness. Ultimately their cowardly attempt to selfishly save their personal creature comforts will backfire and they will lose their freedoms along with everyone else enslaved to the evil that ensues.

Darkness is never comfortable, it's always cold and filled with despair. Eventually evil (darkness) will assimilate any good (light) into its ranks when it's isolated and fearful to shine bright. Fear of allowing your light to shine will only propagate more fear which lends to sheltering ones light further. The only answer is to allow ones light to shine brightly for all to see. Darkness has no power against light when light is allowed to illuminate. Darkness recedes from wince it came.

Weapons are not evil, they are tools wielded by evil men and good men alike. By using the ruse of "taking weapons away because weapons are evil" we are embracing a fallacy. We are simply taking the weapons away from the law abiding (good men) and leaving the world defenseless against evil men.

Weakness emboldens evil to spread its tyranny around the world. America is currently strong because of our Second Amendment rights. As a case in point, look at the Middle East and see what weakness has done for it. Chaos, chaos, chaos...

Liberalism is the ideological state of honestly believing you can reason with the unreasonable. A condition inevitably destined to realize failure... The Middle East is a living testimony to what ideological weakness will result in... The best/worse is yet to come.

Is it possibly because after the initial destruction of Americas defensive weapons at Pearl Harbor he knew Americas industrial might would catch up to him through the production of new defensive weapons? Our country was safe from invasion solely because of our Second Amendment.

Good luck in your endeavors to either hide your light or be complicit in blocking others light. Personally I would take a stand for good men and dispose of your attempt to demonize weapons. Weapons have no soul, thus they cannot be evil. Men have souls, thus it is the man that is either evil or good...

Piers Morgan Get Spanked by Larry Pratt

CNN's Piers Morgan interviews Larry Pratt, Executive Director from Gun Owners of America.

And like most liberals who advocate much stricter gun control laws in our nation, when he runs out of logical "high level" points, Morgan stoops to name calling and insults.
In this interview, Piers tries to engaged in the Connecticut shooting/Gun Control debate with Pratt, saying he was "an unbelievably stupid man."
 
Morgan of course, hates people who are pro-Constitution and pro 2nd amendment, as you would think he would be, being a loyal British subject and all. But regardless, for him to be reaching in to the gutter banter box to make points, it's something he really cannot defend..... 

Now I agree with Morgan, as does Pratt, that the senseless killing has to stop.

But the gun owner did not pull the triggers. A disturbed young man, who was not the gun owner did.

And at this point, we don't know how this young man was able to get his hands on them, from his mother.

Keep and Bear- What is Being Said

Jackson Lee said on the House floor.

“I would personally just say to those who are listening, maybe you want to turn in your guns,”

Press Secretary Jay Carney said Tuesday that Obama is "actively supportive" of Sen. Dianne Feinstein's, D-Calif

Sen. Feinstein:

“I’m going to introduce in the Senate and the same bill will be introduced in the House, a bill to ban assault weapons. It will ban the sale, the transfer, the importation and the possession. Not retroactively but prospectively. And it will ban the same for big clips, drums or strips of more than 10 bullets. So there will be a bill. We’ve been working on it now for a year,”

Democratic Representative Carolyn McCarthy:

The deaths at the school have changed the terms of the debate since the assault weapons ban was allowed to expire in 2004.

“This time it is different, and we all know it. People are fed up with the gun lobby.”

Obama:

"The fact that this problem is complex can no longer be an excuse for doing nothing,"

Well, this problem is NOT complex!

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

There was no intent by the founding fathers for any wiggle room here. End of Story!

Breaking down this amendment is the argument the Sen. Feinstein, Sen. Durbin, VP President Biden and the rest will try and get around.
The founders intent here was not for propose of hunting, or they would not have injected the word Militia in to the Amendment.

A Militia is an irregular army of ordinary citizens.

Their intent was rooted in the experience with a monarchy and oligarchies.
Their forward vision was twofold:
1. For the citizens to protect themselves, their property and their liberty(free State) from being threatened by the likes of a monarchy, oligarchy and an ever growing expansion of control by government over the governed.
2. To be a line of backing defense against invasion of both foreign and domestic enemies.
Ever wonder why this nation has not been invaded?
Even if a hostile enemy could think of defeating our standing military, it would be suicidal to try and defeat an armed "army of ordinary citizens" of tens of millions.

Some will point to the words "Well regulated":
In the 1700’s there was a common craftsman profession that existed that is no more, that of a "Regulator". This person was employed to adjust the mechanics of contemporary mechanisms, such as timepieces. Often this was the person called upon to light streetlights. The point is that, back then, "regulation" commonly meant keeping something in tip-top shape - finely-tuned, adjusted, running well, lubricated, clean, etc and NOT controlled.

Now if you find what I said, a stretch, Stephen P. Halbrook, Ph.D., J.D. has an excellent piece here showing the relationship of the Swiss, their 'armed citizenship' and how it was a model of our founding father.
Sen. Feinstein wishes are to BAN assault weapons. Assault weapons has never been defined. If you think about it, every gun is an "Assault" weapon and the meaning is opened ended.

First there was a ban on Automatics, now they want to ban semi-automatics.
Seeing the pattern is key.
Creeping Control.

And the 2nd Amendment is Under Attack Again

As sad as it is, the events in Newtown Connecticut, and the deep sorrow for the lose of life of the children and teachers I feel, I can only say that my profound hopes are that they can recover quickly and my prayers to the survivors and their family go out to them. This American is, and always will be, with them.

Some in our nation, however, right out of the gate, are calling for repeal of the 2nd amendment.
They take a kneejurk reaction to the event, that it was the weapon use, and not the person who got a hold of those weapons, as the reason this took place.

What the left doesn't understand is when our forefathers penned the Constitution, the purpose of the 2nd Amendment was made perfectly clear:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd Amendment is “necessary to the security of a free State”; it is what helps ensure our freedom from a tyrannous government.
Criminals who are dead set on committing murders will find a way to get a gun regardless of laws or amendments. The real threat is the fact that our own government is armed to the teeth. The 2nd Amendment does not only regard one’s personal self-defense, but it speaks to the broader ability of the people to keep a potentially oppressive, out-of-control government and its standing army in check.
 
The perpetrator of this crime in Connecticut was not following any gun laws when he shot 28 people that day.
America is based on the 2nd Amendment. Our liberty and the ability to stay free of total government tyranny depends on it.

The hypocrisy in the wake of this shooting is reaching a crescendo. Calling for more senseless violence and murder will not bring these shooting victims back to life, neither will enacting stricter gun laws that shooters obviously do not, and WILL NOT follow when they commit these terrible crimes in the first place anyway. 

When you call for more, stiffer regulation on keeping and bearing, then where will it stop?
Controlling knives, in the case of Nichole Simpson. Or duck tape, in the case of Caylee Anthony? Catching my drift? It's the twisted person who should not have access to them.
Not the rest of us who would evoke our 2nd amendment rights on those who will not follow the laws and attack us!!!

Federal Judge Backs Up 2nd Amendment

Today, a federal judge struck down a Maryland law which required citizens to give "good and substantial reason" to legally own a handgun.
In his opinion, U.S. District Judge Benson Everett Legg wrote that states are allowed some leeway in deciding the way residents exercise their Second Amendment right to bear arms, but objected to Marylands law of rationing which also limits the number of firearms that individuals could carry.

Judge Legg wrote

"A citizen may not be required to offer a 'good and substantial reason' why he should be permitted to exercise his rights, the right's existence is all the reason he needs.



In addition to self-defense, the (Second Amendment) right was also understood to allow for militia membership and hunting. To secure these rights, the Second Amendment's protections must extend beyond the home: neither hunting nor militia training is a household activity, and 'self-defense has to take place wherever a person happens to be."

"People have the right to carry a gun for self-defense and don't have to prove that there's a special reason for them to seek the permit," said the plaintiff, Raymond Woollard, attorney Alan Gura, who has challenged handgun bans in the District of Columbia and Chicago as an attorney with the Second Amendment Foundation. "We're not against the idea of a permit process, but the licensing system has to acknowledge that there's a right to bear arms."

This is a big blow to the liberal elite in our nation, because it solidifies the second amendment, once again.

UN & Senate Preparing to Strip Your 2nd Rights

Time to get pissed, people! 

This is another step the Democrat control Senate is taking to strip you of your 2nd Amendment rights, by teaming up with the United Nations to limit and prepare to confiscate your guns.

It may not come as surprising news to many of you that the United Nations doesn’t approve of our Second Amendment. Not one bit. And they very much hope to do something about it with help from some powerful American friends. Under the guise of a proposed global “Small Arms Treaty” premised to fight “terrorism”, “insurgency” and “international crime syndicates” you can be quite certain that an even more insidious threat is being targeted – our Constitutional right for law-abiding citizens to own and bear arms.

What, exactly, does the intended agreement entail?

While the terms have yet to be made public, if passed by the U.N. and ratified by our Senate, it will almost certainly force the U.S. to:

1. Enact tougher licensing requirements, creating additional bureaucratic red tape for legal firearms ownership.
2. Confiscate and destroy all “unauthorized” civilian firearms (exempting those owned by our government of course).
3. Ban the trade, sale and private ownership of all semi-automatic weapons (any that have magazines even though they still operate in the same one trigger pull – one single “bang” manner as revolvers, a simple fact the ant-gun media never seem to grasp).
4. Create an international gun registry, clearly setting the stage for full-scale gun confiscation.
5. In short, overriding our national sovereignty, and in the process, providing license for the federal government to assert preemptive powers over state regulatory powers guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment in addition to our Second Amendment rights.

Have no doubt that this plan is very real, with strong Obama administration support. In January 2010 the U.S. joined 152 other countries in endorsing a U.N. Arms Treaty Resolution that will establish a 2012 conference to draft a blueprint for enactment. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has pledged to push for Senate ratification.

Former U.N. ambassador John Bolton has cautioned gun owners to take this initiative seriously, stating that the U.N. “is trying to act as though this is really just a treaty about international arms trade between nation states, but there is no doubt that the real agenda here is domestic firearms control.”....

If you are NOT a gun owner, I strongly recommend you become one, and FAST!

This is another step to what I see as a full and intentional degradation of the United States Constitution.

What's next? Our right to VOTE?
