Pelosi and Congressional Dems- Amend the 1st

Nancy Pelosi and congressional Democrats are proposing an idea to amend the 1st Amendment because they are so enraged about the US Supreme courts ruling on Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission.

 

 “We have a clear agenda in this regard: Disclose, reform the system reducing the roll of money in campaigns, and amend the Constitution to rid it of this ability for special interests to use secret, unlimited, huge amounts of money flowing to campaigns,” Pelosi said at her Thursday press briefing.

“I think one of the presenters at a Democratic forum on amending the Constitution yesterday said that the Supreme Court had unleashed a predator that was oozing slime into the political system, and that, indeed, is not an exaggeration,”


“Our Founders had an idea. It was called democracy. It said elections are determined by the people, the voice and the vote of the people, not by the bankrolls of the privileged few. This Supreme Court decision flies in the face of our Founders’ vision and we want to reverse it.”

First off, Ms Pelosi, our Founders had an idea called the "Republic" for which your leadership in the House, during the 111th congress, failed MISERABLY!
Second, we still have an election determined by the people. People who might also be a part of a Corporation, but individually empower to cast a vote.



Regardless of how a Campaign is funded and the message that that funding promotes, a corporation has no power to vote as a whole and Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission didn't change that.


The audacity of the progressives in our nation to want to fundamentally change the 'Bill of Right' is quite certain another attack ON THE CONSTITUTION!

Obamacare 'Ironclad Constitutional'

Now, you KNOW that's not me saying that.

Those are the words of the Wicked Witch of the West, Nancy Pelosi, as she marked the 2 year anniversary of the passage of Obamacare, today.

A sad day in American history, as the Federal Government, against the will of the people, took control over 1/6 of our economy, the American health care system.

"We passed healthcare as a right, for all, not just a privilege for a few" She said.
First thing, first. When government grants you rights, we have lost our liberties.
Second, privilege few? Obamacare gives a "few" the "privilege" of free healthcare from on the backs of the laboring majority.

Madam Pelosi Makes A Second Threat

Once again, Nanny 'Nut Bag' Pelosi has made a outright threat to bring down Gingrich, if he becomes the nominee, in an interview with 'Got Your Clocked Cleaned on National TV' John King.


Excerpts:
KING: Because of your history with Speaker Gingrich, what goes through your mind when you think about the possibility, which is more real today than it was a week or a month ago, that he would be the Republican nominee and that you could come back here next January or next February with a President Gingrich?
PELOSI: Let me just say this. That will never happen.
KING: Why?
PELOSI: He's not going to be president of the United States. This is - that's not going to happen. Let me just make my prediction and stand by it. It isn't going to happen.
KING: Why are you so sure?
PELOSI: There's something I know. The Republicans, if they choose to nominate him, that's the prerogative. I don't even think that's going to happen.

 

Now, based on Rules of the Committee, for which Pelosi served, at that time, she would be in violation of Rule #7 (PDF)  if she disclosed anything that was not agreed to by the committee to become public record.


Last Dec, Pelosi made that same kind of statement. But after Newt shot back that she would be in violation of House rules, Pelosi said she was referring to what is all part of public record.
So in my attempt to prevent an Nancy's October Surprise (if Newt is the Nominee) HERE is the record, out in the public domain. Anything else said by her about the ethics issue outside of that, IS a violation.


Is she just making a threat (with some under the radar support from the Est. Reps) to lull GOP voters in to thinking she has an October Surprise?
I think it's just that, a threat.
