1st Amendment Under Attack, Now By VA

The VA, Veterans Administration, has enter the Presidents agenda to violate the Constitution, particularly our 1st amendment rights.

That is that 'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof'

As reported on Fox News:
John Culberson (R-Texas) is calling for a congressional investigation of the Houston National Cemetery after he went undercover and determined that cemetery officials there are still preventing Christian prayers at the funerals of military veterans.

Culberson witnessed volunteer members of the honor guard from the Veterans of Foreign Wars being prohibited from using any references to God

Controversy first surfaced nationally at the cemetery during a Memorial Day event when a Houston pastor was ordered by the VA to remove the name of Jesus from his prayer.

The Memorial Day service enragged many Americans and the cemetery is already the focus of a lawsuit filed on behalf of the VFW, an American Legion post and Houston’s National Memorial Ladies. They claim the VA banned members of the organizations from using the words “God” or “Jesus” at burial services.

During the undercover work, Culberson said the commander of the honor guard was told by cemetery officials to approach a grieving widow to reconfirm that she wanted the word God mentioned at her husband’s graveside service.

(Reconfirm to me would be she had already 'confirmed' she wanted God mentioned.)

Culberson continues: “He (HonorGuard Commander) quite correctly said (to the cemetery officials) as a Texan and a man of honor and integrity, ‘I’m not bothering that poor woman at this most terrible time of her life. We’re going to do the ritual,’ Right in front of me, the VA directly and deliberately attempted to prevent the VFW from doing their magnificent, spiritual ritual over the grave of this fallen hero."

“The Obama administration continues to try to prevent the word ‘God’ from being used at the funerals of our heroes,” said. Culberson.

“It’s unacceptable and I’m going to put a stop to it as fast as humanly possible,”

Lack of respect by this President of the constitution is becoming treasonous.... lack of Congress approval on Libya and then 'prohibiting the free exercise thereof' at the Houston National Cemetery!

We need to get rid of all these stupid ass laws like hitting the reset button on a computer. I would like to see a more libertarian government were we govern ourselves. Maybe after Americans see what the government is doing to it's citizens over the last few years they will wake up. The Holy Bible said these things would happen. Thanks for being a strong Christian soldier. I look up to you and the work you are doing to make us all stronger and the government weaker. God bless you.

Thanks, Chris. You are a strong Christian soldier to be admired.

The government, particularly the left, has gone overboard on the 1st amendment "'Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion"
This story is about dictatorship by the Obama admin directing his own policy of separation of church and state. In this intense, however, it violates the 'prohibiting the free exercise thereof' sentence.
