Move On Wants To Shut Off Fox News

Move On.org and Color Of Change.org are out to shut down Fox News in the 'public' spectrum.
Tomorrow is the Restoring Honor 828 rally in Washington DC, and Glenn Beck plans on letting the nation and Washington know, we all plan on restoring American Honor of faith, hope and unity as a FREE people.
But Move On and Color Of Change, plan to make waves.

They are trying to subvert and hide opposition to the Socialist left.

This email dropped in my lap of a nationwide campaign to shut out a right of center press news station from public view.

Is this an attempt to sequester freedom of the Press? In this blogger opinion it's one big fat YES!

Pass it on, if you go in to “bars, restaurants, airport lounges, stores” and they don’t have Fox news on, ask to put on the station that exposes the liberal/socialist agenda. Two can play this game.

Subject: Glenn Beck vs. Dr. King?

A year ago, Glenn Beck called the president a racist who had a deep-seated hatred for white people. In just over a week, he says he will "reclaim" the legacy of the civil rights movement by holding his "Restoring Honor" rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.—on the same day and place as Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech.
[But of course he never said anything about reclaiming Dr King's 'His Civil rights movement' success away from history, but just to restore it]

You can get mad at Beck. You can protest and try to prevent him from stepping on Dr. King's honor for one day. The reality is that the next day—and five days a week from there on out—Beck will be back on Fox News, speaking to millions and spreading hate, lies, and fear, as he does every week.

The real problem is Fox News. Fox News gives Beck his platform, and Fox promotes his events—all despite Beck losing virtually all of his major advertisers in the last year.
[Which is far from the truth, Beck still has his major sponsors, just not the ones he had 6 months ago]

Fox's rhetoric is not just divisive; it's dangerous. Last month, a heavily armed man got into a gunfight with police after he was pulled over on his way to kill people at the Tides Foundation—a non-profit that was little known until Glenn Beck repeatedly demonized it, [For a better term.. exposed it] claiming it to be the center of a great conspiracy. Last year, Kansas doctor George Tiller was gunned down while at church after Bill O'Reilly called him a Nazi, a "baby killer," and warned of "Judgment Day." [ Of corse O'Reilly never called Tiller a Nazi]

It's why today we're launching TurnOffFox, and we hope you'll join us. TurnOffFox is the first step in our overall effort to beat back the poison, hate, and division of Fox. We'll get Fox turned off in stores, restaurants, and other public places—places where Fox pulls in new viewers and gains legitimacy. But we need your help. [Of course they won't find much help, as they ARE the number one cable news station on the country]

Click below to declare your household "Fox free" and at the same time call on establishments in your community (and across the country) to follow your lead and turn off Fox. Armed with thousands of signatures, ColorOfChange members will visit businesses in their communities that play Fox, explain how divisive and dangerous it is, and call on them to stop. And we'll give you a FREE Turn Off Fox sticker when you do—it takes just a moment: [Yes, just a moment to stop the exposure of the left agenda and deny others who wish to watch it... need I say MORE?]

Some people watch Fox at home because it reflects their view of the world; but there are others who see it on TV in public places and assume that it's legitimate news. Fox News is often on in bars, restaurants, airport lounges, stores—appearing to be real news, while spreading lies and fomenting hate and division. [And exposing organizations, such as Move On and Color of Change for the Socialistic mind set they hold and plan to spread]

The goal of Turn Off Fox is to reduce the number of public TVs showing Fox News, while spreading the word about Fox's poison (and how it works) to those who don't know. [Their goal is to stop the news from being reported... can Anyone say 1st amendment?]

As businesses Turn off Fox and stand up as Fox Free, and as we encourage our friends and family to do the same, we'll help make clear, to people across the country, what Fox is about. And we'll reduce their ability to do harm.

Click the link below to join us and our partners at Truthout.com in standing up to Fox, and we'll give you a free TurnOffFox sticker. And then please ask your friends and family to do the same:

Amazing, huh? Here we have 1, single, solitary news station that big bad Move On doesn't want you to see because of primetime commentary figures who do not like the Progressive agenda of the left.
THIS IS WHAT I WAS REFERRING TO IN MY LAST POST, PEOPLE.
HOPE YOU WERE PAYING ATTENTION!

First off Beck has never called the president racist. Second the rally in DC is not a civil rights rally but a religious rally. But that hasn't stopped the left from lieing about it none stop. The left have turned into little bitches and soon they will be violent as they lose their stronghold on American politics.

It's amazing at how much they will lie to get what they want. Just like little children, Chris.
And they ARE, once again, making threats, to even some Fox News people.

Thanks Mark for the heads-up!

As to Beck, he has and so have others on the left stated an open-end QUESTION in both the broadcast and print media; 'Is the POTUS a racist?"

The reason for this question leads back to the words, action's and or inaction's of the POTUS himself. Same is true for question's about his religious affiliation(s) if they exsist at all. These and other question's are entirely fair game and require that answer's be forthcoming.

As to Fox, there is little or nothing these 'organisations' can do when it comes to people seeking the truth and much to their consternation Fox DOES DO THIS IN A FAIR AND BALANCED format.

My expirience with news in public places in the past Fox was not on, so I say this effort will do little as they are chasing a dog that does not bite.

But I agree with you Mark that we should push to get Fox on in public places. When people who have only heard the sound-bites from the left about Fox get a real chance to view it they are glued to it.

I remember one time at a saloon I requested Fox as they had CNN on and a complete stranger objected based on sound-bites claiming it was all right-wing. I offerd him a bet that he was wrong; if he won I owed him 2 beers, if I won Fox remained on ALL the TV's but we had to watch to settle the bet.

Needless to say I won the bet as he was amazed to see both sides of any given issue they were discussing. He said what about Beck,Hannity ,,etc. and I retorted those are 'opinion' shows not news just like, but in opposition Olberman, Maddow,,etc. again not news but opinion.

The Fox News Channel remains the main-stay at this establishment to this very day.

Nice (and easy) bet Christopher!!!

Just about every establishment I have gone to over the course of the last 2 years will have on Fox. I believe that America has awaken to the fact they are not getting important news from the MSM. And Move On doesn't like it.
Just got done watching the restore rally at the Lincoln memorial.
What a show. Looked to be about 300K there, plus another 130K watching on line.
Great success and Beck should be thanked for making this happen.

well, i think Move on and Faux news are both full of shit. And you can add on Rev Al Sharpton to that list and Sarah half-time too.

This whole thing isn't making me nuts or violent, there's exhibition football on today. That is how important both rallies are to me.

As for calling the president racist Chris, he has said it. The exact quote is...

"I'm not saying he doesn't like white people, I'm saying he has a problem," Beck said. "This guy is, I believe, a racist."

Other than semantical world that is calling someone a racist. Don't believe me look up Glenn on Faux and friends. Got a great video of it.

Glad to hear you say, at least, that Move On is full of shit, Joe. They are extremely radical.
But, Joe, Beck was emphasizing those Obama surrounds himself with and who he was been around with for 20 years, like Rev Wright.
But its OK for people on the left side of the political spectrum to label, unjustly, all Tea Party Patriots racist, but it's bad for 1 guy, Beck, to say Obama is, based on Obama past associations??
Come on!

I'm not debating the reasons he said it, i'm pointing out that unlike Chris and Christopher he has directly called him a racist. Not asked an open ended question, but said exactly what i posted.

@JoeC:
And Beck has publicly stated that he regrets those words and should have chosen his words differently.

Beck believes that Obama believes in 'Liberation Theology'. This is a movement in Christian theology which construes the teachings of Jesus Christ in terms of a liberation from unjust economic, political, or social conditions.

Yet, I my opinion, the President has an entire country to run, and not all people fall into this 'liberation' catagory. Obama does not serve just minorities he serves American's.

Essentially, his actions are placing all Americans into the 'Liberation' classification, even those who where once outside the class.

The left has helped to expand the concept that the President is 'racist' by their perversion of the word 'racist'. The left has called those who oppose Obama's 'policies' as racist when race opposition doesn't exisit.

Because of this perversion, the left has basically hijacked the minorities in this country for the pursuit and growth of their own political agenda. This essentially is racism in itself.

JoeC:
I have asked you before without a response:
1) What do 'you' stand for?
2) What is so wonderful about the political left?

Adams...You don't have to tell me what liberation theology is, I've studied the Latin American version of it. I recommend "Pedagogy of the Oppressed" if you interested in reading about it.

I think that Beck may be right, that aspects of the civil rights Social Justice and liberation theology are present in his mindset. But that would be in keeping with leaders like Dr. King, A. Philip Randolph and others.

As for opposition to Obama's policies without prejudice, you have a point that some of the opposition is not limited to racial, but that the legitimate opposition finds a home and strength from those that are bigoted.

As for running the country, the crocodile tears of the losing side about not just running it on his beliefs comes after 8 years of a president who ran the country based on a extremely narrow set of beliefs. As ole shrub might say, "that dog doesn't hunting" lol

My beliefs? you really want to know them?

"beliefs comes after 8 years of a president who ran the country based on a extremely narrow set of beliefs."

Yes, a set of beliefs in Capitalism.
Works pretty damn well compared to Socialism and the past 2 years has proven that, once again.
For the most part W years were prosperous years Joe. Never went above 6% unemployment on average but until the bottom dropped out because of one simple little Dems initiative in 1998 that brought the whole house of cards down.
You can see it here.

Your party, Joe, is on the verge of having their hat handed to them.

I'll let Adams Patriot get back to you on the rest...
