Obama Admin Wants International Approval For US Military Action

This is astonishing, so much so that I nearly fell off my chair.

Obama Admin wants to seek International approval for the use of force by our US Military anywhere in the world.
And then, after that,  Leon Panetta would "come to the congress and inform" them.

Senator Jeff Session conducted this hearing of the Armed Services committee to get answers to and examine the Department of the Army in review of the Defense Authorization request for fiscal year 2013 and the Future Years Defense Program. Better known as SD-106.

Under question from Sen. Sessions at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey indicated that "international permission," rather than Congressional approval, provided a 'legal basis' for military action by the United States.

I'll let the video take it from here. (Hold on to your chair)

Seems as though the Obama Administration and the Defense Secretary have decided that the War Power Act is null and void.

To Obama and his administration, the Constitution is just an obstacle to be gotten around, not the law of the land.

Yes sir, Jim... Oh and lets not forget, 310M of it's citizens, also. Those are pretty tough odds to get around.

Why do you think Panetta was put in charge! I'm about tired of all these "globalists". Sickens me to think that we bow to international coalitions. FIRE THIS SOB!

The only why we fire these misguided morons is to first fire Obama. He has politicized the Justice dept, and now the Defense dept.

One world government sound familiar?

National sovereignty means absolutely nothing to these types and the only way to achieve this goal it to weaken the U.S. i.e. No "international permission" to go to war equals no need for the most powerful and technologically advanced standing military ever conceived in human history.

Without that possibility of overwhelming military action on our part we would see an escalation of open warfare all over the world that would make WWII look like a cakewalk.

This of course would lead back to the end game - One World Order.

League of Nations did not work and
the United Nations is a clear failure on many fronts of epic proportions.

I believe the world elites have found their solution in Obama.

It's been this way for decades. Congress has not declared war since WWII

Christopher, I am wondering what the true feelings are at the pentagon about this. Are they afraid to speak out in fear of getting McChrystal-ed?

Until Obama is out of office, I don't see him getting us out of the UN, nor telling the UN to get out of our country.

Trestin, true, very true. Good point.

The president would like to have the blessing of the U.N., but could care less about congressional approval for any act of war against a foreign power---damn, what's missing here! Oops, the CONSTITUTION!

Lets see:
-Individual mandates.
-Forcing the church to go against it beliefs.
-No congressional authorization to enter our military in to combat that is not an imminent threat... etc, etc
I don't think he gives a rats a$$ about that document, Ron.
