A new Rasmussn Report poll, nation wide, have discovered that 66% of voters prefer a government with fewer services and lower taxes, just slightly down from 70% during last August's Townhall meetings. Which mean it's holding strong. Just 23% of U.S. voters say they prefer a more active government with more services and higher taxes.
In recent polls it also has shown that only 20% of Americans see themselves as progressives or liberal, while 44% see themselves at conservatives and 36% as independents.
In the new Rasmussn Report poll, Eighty-eight percent (88%) of Republicans and 68% of voters not affiliated with either major political party favor a government with fewer services and lower taxes. Democrats are more closely divided: 38% like a more active government with more services and higher taxes, while 45% prefer one with fewer services and lower taxes.
Obama, Pelosi and Reid have done the damage to even their moderate supporters by over reaching their Chicago style politics. It would behoove this President to know that America is not just a larger Chicago.... You don't fuck around with America and expect the citizens to just fall in line.
I believe that this will be a good year for the GOP.......... IF they're message is strong.
On a side note.... Recent polling also finds that 25% now say the country is heading in the right direction, the lowest level of voter confidence since Obama assumed office last year.
