NAACP blind to Tea Party Reality

Here is a good piece of reading, from a African-American Tea Party Patriot.

Emery McClendon a member of the Project 21 black leadership network and a tea party organizer and speaker in Indiana. His essay for Project 21 on the tea parties appeared in Freedom’s Journal magazine. McClendon is a disabled veteran of the U S Air Force, a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and the founder of Amateur Radio Military Appreciation Day.And Emery's take on this controversial attitude by the NAACP:I condemn the NAACP. I am really upset over their recent charge that the tea party movement is racist. When will these people wake up?What is the basis of their allegations? Speaking from experience, I will say that the claims they seem to be relying upon are false. The NAACP has once again been duped by the left.

I organized a tea party rally in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have also travelled around the State of Indiana speaking at similar events. I have attended events and rallies with other conservative groups in Chicago, Detroit, Washington, DC and elsewhere. I can say that these events were open to anyone that wished to attend. I was even recently awarded a plaque by a tea party group in Madison County, Indiana. Is this racism?

This from Mary Frances Berry, appointed to the head of the US Commission on Civil Rights by Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, has been quoted as authoring the following Statement:


"Tainting the tea party movement with the charge of racism is proving to be an effective strategy for Democrats. There is no evidence that tea party adherents are any more racist than other Republicans, and indeed many other Americans. But getting them to spend their time purging their ranks and having candidates distance themselves should help Democrats win in November. Having one’s opponent rebut charges of racism is far better than discussing joblessness."


I have said it once before... THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR IT (Calling the Tea Party racist). I strongly suggest to everyone, DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN THIS DIVERSION. It's a Saul Alinsky tactic.

Obama: "If you make under $250K you will..."

Throughout Obama's Presidential campaign, Barack Obama stated over and over again that no one making less than $250,000 would not have their taxes increased, "not even by one dime".

During the fight for the bill to reform Health Care, a provision was included that there would be a fine or penalty imposed and collected by the IRS if an American citizen did not buy Health Insurance. The justification of this penalty was suppose to be covered through the 'Commerce Clause".

Now that the Health Care bill is in court with Constitutional challenges to this penalty and the commerce clause that is being used for the penalty's justification, Obama admits it is a 'TAX', and therefore is covered under the Anti-Injunction Act to be collected.

Who does this President think he is fooling? Americans are not stupid! Americans can tell a right from wrong. Americans can tell when a President in conning them!

Is this how a President conducts himself with citizens that he is supposed to be 'leading'?

Barack Obama is 'acting' more like a street corner hustler trying to get you to find the pea under one of three cups that he shuffles around. If you guess wrong, you lose and have to pay him.

Street corner hustling may have worked fine for a Chicago Community Organizer in association with an organized crime syndicate, but it is clearly not what an American President should be doing.

President Obama, the American People are not toys for your amusement. The American People are hurting and desperate for true leadership, someone who they can instill confidence in to help bring our Nation back to the Great Country we once enjoy and were proud of.

You promised transparency. You promised Hope and Change. You promise to be different from past administrations.

Apparently you are different, which has caused your administration to be one of disgust and shame.

Barack Obama, it's time to start being an American President! Stop the lies, be a man, be honorable and serve the American People with trust and dignity!

Or better yet...resign!

Barack Obama: President of....

Barack Obama, The President of...usually followed by 'The United States of America".

That is when a President of the United States is just that...of the United States of America. But in the case of this new President, one would wonder just what he actually believes he is or thinks he is President of.



Clearly, under Obama's Presidency, the 'States' are more Divided than they are United. In America we now have States boycotting one another and calling one State or another Racist. All of this was born from Obama's policy of not protecting border States from illegal entry.



The Racial aspect began during Obama's Campaign and used against his opponents. The Racial aspect continued throughout his first 2 years and used against police, political opponents and concerned tax payers.



With the Oil Spill in the Gulf, Obama's handling of the disaster and the drilling moratorium one could connect the oil issue with Obama's racial history. Could it be that Obama is handing out revenge to Southern States for past racial issues of decades past? How can one make sense of the deliberate act of withholding proven oil clean up methods, help from other countries and then destroying the southern States economies by stopping the drilling operations?

How can an American President ever justify theses in appropriate actions? Simply... by controlling the media! When the Media does not report the truth Obama can then ignore the will of the American people.

One could draw a conclusion that this President has engaged in Chicago Style Politics, Racial disharmony, lawlessness, weakening our borders and defences, radical and irresponsible spending, supporting terrorists, attacking capitalism, promoting socialism, suing States, allowing local economies to fail, seizing companies, creating a bigger and out of control government, injecting government intrusion further into our personal lives, ignoring the economy, ignoring the separation of federal powers, and created in large part...greater fear in the minds of the American people...to name a few.

However, on the good side, Obama has done.... (fill in the blanks, as I can't)

For the most part, the American People are not stupid. The Media can withhold information, but, the Obama policies hit you between the eyes.

When it comes to Obama's policies, I am reminded of a scene the movie 'Animal House', where Kevin Bacon stood out in the street amongst people running around in chaos and tried to convince the people that things are not as they appear, by saying; "remain calm, all is well'.

Obama can tell me that he has saved or created 3 million jobs, or that he is working on securing our borders or cleaning up the oil or reigning in the financial institutions...or all the other stuff that spews out of his mouth....if there is one thing I truly believe in, it is that 'Actions Speak Louder Than Words".

President Obama....your actions are so loud, it is deafening!

The other night, as I meandered around Facebook, reading all the fan pages I "Like", I decided to head over to the Black Tea Patriots Facebook page to see how this fan page grew overnight. 
To my delight, it went from about 2300 fans to over 5000 with in a 24 hour period. 
And as I read the number of well wishes from the Tea Party Patriot people (me, being one) who came and supported the Black Tea Patriots, this post jumped out at me and hit me like a ton of bricks.

Now I thought to myself at first, that this has to be some sort of left wing crack pot spewing the leftist Cud.

1. He destroyed the Clinton Political Machine - Driving a stake thru the heart of Hillary's Presidential aspirations - something that no Republican was ever able to do. Remember when a Hillary Presidency scared the daylights out of you!

2. He killed off the Kennedy Dynasty - No more Kennedys trolling Washington looking for booze and women wanting rides home. American women and Freedom are safer tonight!

These are just a handful of the Democrats whose political careers Obama has destroyed! By the end of 2010, dozens more will be gone.


In December of 2008, the Democrats were on the rise. In the last two election cycles, they had picked up 14 senate seats and 52 house seats. The press was touting the death of the Conservative Movement and the Republican Party. In just one year, Obama put a stop to all of this and will probably give the House, if not the Senate, back to the Republicans.


4. He has completely exposed liberals and progressives for what they are. Every Generation seems to need to re-learn the lesson on why they should never actually put liberals in charge. He is bringing home the lesson very well.


Liberals tax, borrow and spend - check


Liberals won't bring themselves to protect America - check


Liberals want to take over the economy - check


Liberals think they know what is best for everyone - check


Liberals aren't happy till they are running YOUR life - check


5. He has brought more Americans back to conservatism than anyone since Reagan. In one year, he has rejuvenated the Conservative movement and brought out to the streets millions of Freedom Loving Americans. Name me one other time in your life that you saw your friends and neighbors this interested in taking back America!


6. His amazing leadership has sparked the greatest period of sales of firearms and ammunition this country has seen. Law abiding citizens have rallied and have provided a "stimulus" to the sporting goods field while other industries have failed, faded or moved off-shore.


7. In all honesty, one year ago I was more afraid than I have been in my life. Not of the economy, but of the direction our country was going. I thought Americans had forgotten what this country was all about. My neighbors, friends and strangers proved to me that my lack of confidence of the Greatness and Wisdom of the American people was flat wrong.


8. When the American People wake up, no smooth talking teleprompter reader can fool them!
